investments and organizational performance, prompting IS researchers to focus
on the adoption, diffusion, and utilization of IT by individuals. Recent
advancements have deepened our understanding of how IT, role, and social identities
shape—and are shaped—by interactions with IT. IT identity, the extent to which
an individual views the use of IT as integral to their sense of self, offers valuable
insights into IT adoption and use. Role and social identities similarly influence
how individuals engage with IT, especially as these identities evolve through

interactions with IT are encouraged. We welcome research using a variety of
