In virtual communities or the metaverse, humans and organizations utilize technology to maintain relationships and social networks to pursue mutual goals and interests. While the process of constructing and evaluating innovative IT artifacts enables design-science researchers to understand the problem addressed by the artifacts and the feasibility of the approach to the solutions, the behavioral-science researchers evaluate the outcomes and implications of technology use. Behavioral and design science paradigms can serve as a complete research cycle in IS research. Therefore, mixed research relating to behavioral and design science can help to increase our understanding of virtual communities. We welcome research addressing behavioral issues, design issues or a mixed stream of both to make theoretical contributions and practical implications in the area of virtual communities.</span></div><span class="gmail-im" style="color:rgb(80,0,80)"><p></p><div><span style="font-size:14px"><b style="font-family:Helvetica,"Microsoft Yahei",verdana;word-break:break-word"><span style="word-break:break-word">Important Dates:</span></b></span></div><div><span style="font-family:Helvetica,"Microsoft Yahei",verdana;font-size:14px">January 13, 2025 - Manuscript submissions begin</span></div><div><span style="font-family:Helvetica,"Microsoft Yahei",verdana;font-size:14px">February 28, 2025 - Submissions are due at 5:00pm ET (New York)</span></div><div><span style="font-family:Helvetica,"Microsoft Yahei",verdana;font-size:14px"><br></span></div><div style="font-family:Helvetica,"Microsoft Yahei",verdana;word-break:break-word"><span style="font-size:14px;word-break:break-word"><b style="word-break:break-word">Minitrack Co-Chairs:</b></span></div></span><div style="font-family:Helvetica,"Microsoft Yahei",verdana;word-break:break-word"><span style="font-family:Helvetica;font-size:14px">Xusen Cheng, Renmin University of China, </span><a href="mailto:xusen.cheng@ruc.edu.cn" target="_blank" style="font-family:Arial;font-size:14px"><u><span style="font-family:Helvetica;color:rgb(30,84,148)">xusen.cheng@ruc.edu.cn</span></u></a></div><div><span style="font-family:Helvetica;font-size:14px">Xiangbin Yan, University of Science and Technology Beijing, </span><a href="mailto:xbyan@ustb.edu.cn" target="_blank" style="font-size:14px"><u><span style="font-family:Helvetica;color:rgb(30,84,148)">xbyan@ustb.edu.cn</span></u></a></div><p style="margin:0px"><br style="color:rgb(0,0,0);font-family:Arial;font-size:14px"></p><p style="margin:0px"><br></p></div><div><div dir="ltr" class="gmail_signature" data-smartmail="gmail_signature"><div dir="ltr"><div><div dir="ltr"><div dir="ltr"><div dir="ltr"><div dir="ltr"><div dir="ltr"><div dir="ltr"><div dir="ltr"><div dir="ltr"><div dir="ltr"><div><div>Kind Regards</div><div><br></div><div>Xusen Cheng, <span style="font-size:12.8px">Ph.D </span></div><div><span style="font-size:12.8px">Professor of Information Systems</span></div><div><span style="font-size:12.8px">School of Information, Renmin University of China</span></div><div>Beijing, China, 100872</div><div><div>Email: <a href="mailto:xusen.cheng@gmail.com" style="color:rgb(17,85,204)" target="_blank">xusen.cheng@gmail.com</a></div><div> </div></div><div><br></div></div><div><a href="mailto:xusen.cheng@gmail.com" target="_blank"><br></a></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div>
