Call for Contributions: Encyclopedia of Sharing Economy

Dear Colleagues,
We are excited to announce that Prof. Subodha Kumar and I are compiling the Encyclopedia of Sharing Economy on behalf of Edward Elgar Publishing, scheduled for publication in 2026. This ambitious project seeks to bring together leading experts in the field to create a comprehensive resource that advances understanding of the sharing economy.
We invite you to contribute an entry on a topic of your choice and expertise related to the sharing economy. Each entry should be between 1,000 and 3,000 words and provide:

  *   A clear definition of the chosen term, with a review of key literature.
  *   An overview of its origins, theoretical development, and managerial implications within the sharing economy.
  *   An exploration of any significant theoretical debates surrounding the topic.
  *   A list of references for further reading.

To give you a sense of the format and style, we can share an example article from Elgar’s Encyclopedia of Sports Management upon request.
The deadline for the first draft is May 2025, though we are happy to accommodate extensions if needed.
