Dear Colleagues,
Please join us at AMCIS 2025 in Montreal! We invite you to submit your research to our track, AI and Future Urban Mobility.
The “AI and Future Urban Mobility” track delves into the profound changes Artificial Intelligence (AI) is bringing to urban transportation systems. It aims to highlight the forefront of research that merges AI with urban mobility solutions, tackling the hurdles and seizing the opportunities that arise in the ever-changing urban transport landscape. The primary focus is on the innovation and application of autonomous vehicles, AI-powered traffic management and optimization strategies, the development of smart infrastructure, and the customization of transportation services to individual needs.
This track is not just about technological advancements; it also emphasizes the socio-economic impacts of AI on urban mobility. It invites discussions on ensuring equitable access to transportation, safeguarding data privacy, navigating the ethical quandaries of AI implementation, and mitigating the environmental footprint of advanced transportation systems. These considerations are crucial for creating a sustainable, accessible, and ethical urban mobility framework that benefits all city dwellers.
We welcome a diverse range of research contributions, from empirical investigations and design science to analytical modeling and case studies. This inclusivity reflects our commitment to a comprehensive understanding of AI’s role in urban mobility, encompassing a wide array of methodologies and interdisciplinary perspectives. By fostering a dialogue that spans technological innovation and societal impact, the track aims to contribute to the development of urban transportation systems that are not only smarter and more efficient but also fair and environmentally responsible. This holistic approach to integrating AI into urban mobility promises to redefine our cities’ transport landscapes, making them more adaptive and forward-thinking.
In sum, the “AI and Future Urban Mobility” track is a call to action for researchers, policymakers, and industry professionals to collaboratively forge the path towards a future where technology and humanity intersect seamlessly in the realm of urban transportation, ensuring progress that is both innovative and inclusive.
