Dear AIS colleagues,
there are two positions open on cyber security management at University of Jyväskylä, Finland.
1. Professorship (full, associate, assistant level; depending on the candidate and their experiences).
2. Senior lecturer
The Faculty of Information Technology is seeking a Professor or Assistant/Associate Professor (tenure track) and a Senior Lecturer in Cybersecurity (especially Cybersecurity Management) starting on August 1, 2025, or as soon as possible after that. The Professor and Senior Lecturer positions are valid until further notice. The position of an Assistant Professor is for a fixed term of three to five years, and the position of an Associate Professor is for a fixed term of five years (according to the tenure track model at the university of Jyväskylä<https://www.jyu.fi/en/research/tenure-track-at-the-university-of-jyvaskyla>). After each fixed-term assignment, there will be an evaluation procedure to assess the qualifications for promotion to the next level (Associate/Professor). The tenure track aims to progress to a permanent professorship.
The University of Jyväskylä is a strong, socially influential, international organization and a major research and educational university in Cybersecurity Management in Finland. Its research in this field has performed very well in international rankings. We are now strengthening this area.
Cybersecurity is a key area of education and research in the Faculty of Information Technology. It is divided into technical and management sections. Cybersecurity Management focuses on the cybersecurity from the perspectives of individuals, organizations, or society, information technology being the research context rather than the main object of the research. Research on Cybersecurity Management may focus on issues such as cybersecurity leadership, psychological and cognitive information influencing, resilience, and human aspects of cybersecurity.
