Assistant Professor: Interdisciplinary AI

Dear IS Colleagues,

The San Diego State University (SDSU) invites applications for a full-time
tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor in the broad area
of Artificial Intelligence (AI) with an expected start in Fall  2025 or
Spring 2026.  The position is expected to contribute to interdisciplinary
AI initiatives across SDSU and will receive an academic appointment in
either the Computer Science, Electrical and Computer Engineering, or
Management Information Systems department depending on the candidate's
academic training and expertise. Specific areas of interest include, but
are not limited to, multimodal AI systems, generative AI, explainable and
interpretable AI, large language models, and edge AI. Candidates are
expected to possess a strong foundational understanding of AI models, as
well as experience in applying AI to cross-disciplinary domains.
