It is time for our next Green IS webinar! We hope you are as excited as we are, especially in the year when SIG Green celebrates 15 years of existence.
On April 9th, 2025, at 7 am Eastern Time, 1 pm Central European Time, and 9 pm Australian Eastern Standard Time, Dirk S. Hovorka from the University of Sydney and Jiyong Park from the University of Georgia - Terry College of Business will present on their research. Dirk is interested in how IS architects the future and our understanding of what that means and has promised to provoke a few thoughts on where Green IS might or should be heading next. Jiyong recently received the SIG Green Best Paper Award and will present his paper on "Green Cloud? An empirical analysis of cloud computing and energy efficiency".
The SIG Green webinars are hosted every six months between the big conferences, in October/November and March/April. They run for 90 minutes and feature two presentations. We reach out to presenters directly, but if you would like to give a presentation, we are also very happy about volunteers! In that case, get in touch with the webinar hosts Xue "Nancy" Ning or Philipp Staudt.
The exact time and date of the webinars are set with the presenters and depend on time zones and availability. We will send you Outlook invitations to these webinars once they are scheduled. If you have not subscribed to the webinar's mailing list but would also like to receive Outlook invites, please add your email address here: https://forms.gle/GY51QXnUmDiGPpkp8
We are looking forward to seeing you!
Cheers,
Nancy Xue & Philipp
