Artificial intelligence is moving from systems that generate content toward systems that increasingly act, coordinate, and make decisions with greater autonomy. This shift raises new questions about delegation, oversight, accountability, authorship, human agency, and the design and governance of autonomous systems. In line with the AMCIS 2027 theme of Digital Humanities, the track also welcomes work examining how AI shapes knowledge, meaning, culture, representation, and human–machine relationships. We welcome minitrack proposals addressing topics such as: * agentic AI, delegation, orchestration, and human oversight; * multi-agent systems and autonomous coordination; * human agency and judgment in human–AI collaboration; * AI governance, accountability, regulation, and technological sovereignty; * bias, representation, epistemic justice, and responsible AI; * authorship, creativity, and machine-generated culture; * AI and the production, curation, and interpretation of knowledge; * linguistic and cultural plurality in AI; * embodied and physical AI, robotics, autonomous systems, and digital twins; * organizational and societal implications of autonomous AI. These areas are illustrative rather than exhaustive, and we welcome theoretical, empirical, design-oriented, and interdisciplinary perspectives. The track centers on AI and autonomous systems as objects of study. Papers whose primary contribution concerns the application of AI within a specific domain, without a substantive contribution to our understanding of AI, autonomy, agency, or human–AI interaction, are also encouraged to consider the relevant domain track. Minitrack proposal deadline: October 15, 2026 Minitrack proposals can be submitted through the AMCIS 2027 PCS system.
