Tenure Track Assistant/Associate Professor Position in CIS at UHCL

The Computer Information Systems (CIS) Program in the College of Science and Engineering at the University of Houston-Clear Lake (UHCL) invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor position. The starting date is anticipated to be August 2025. The successful candidate is expected to

  *   develop and teach undergraduate and graduate CIS courses,
  *   establish an appropriate research program that leads to peer reviewed publications,
  *   provide service to the program, university and profession.

Minimum Requirements: The successful candidate must have earned a Doctorate degree in Information Systems or other closely related fields by the time the position starts. All areas of emphasis will be considered. A successful candidate must be strongly committed to undergraduate and graduate teaching. Other major responsibilities include pursuing research programs and providing service at various levels.

Preferred Requirements: Preference will be given to candidates with background and interests in teaching data analytics or related fields. Preference will also be given to candidates who have a record of actively seeking external funding.
