==== Agile and InnerSource - a Match Made in Heaven
As organizations increasingly adopt hybrid development approaches, understanding the synergy between Agile and InnerSource practices becomes crucial. InnerSource has gained significant momentum, being featured on Gartner’s Hype Cycle for Software Engineering and recognized as a transformative approach to software development. With over 750 companies actively participating in the InnerSource Commons community and major organizations from across all industry verticals embracing these practices, the integration of Agile and InnerSource methodologies represents a critical evolution in modern software development.
Join us to explore the fascinating intersection of Agile methodologies and InnerSource practices in this hands-on workshop. Participants will discover how these two approaches naturally complement each other while addressing potential friction points. Through submitted papers, practical exercises and collaborative sessions, attendees will learn to leverage the best of both worlds to enhance software development practices within their organizations.
We’ll cover themes such as:
Agile-InnerSource Integration: Understanding how agile principles align with InnerSource practices
Coordination Mechanisms: Exploring non-traditional coordination approaches that work in both contexts
Team Dynamics: Managing distributed teams while maintaining agile values
Release Strategies: Balancing frequent releases with quality control
Cultural Transformation: Building a collaborative culture that embraces both methodologies

We invite practitioners and researchers to submit 2-4 page experience reports or position papers addressing:
* Case studies of Agile-InnerSource integration
* Challenges and solutions in implementing both approaches
* Metrics for measuring success in hybrid environments
* Cultural transformation experiences
* Tools and techniques for supporting hybrid development
Please note that these short submissions will not be part of the post-conference proceedings.
Submit your experience report or position paper here: https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=xp2025

We are excited to announce the "AI and Agile Software Development: From Frustration to Success" workshop, taking place on June 2, 2025, as part of XP 2025 in Brugg-Windisch, Switzerland. Building on the success of last year's AI and Agile Industrial Track at XP 2024, this year’s event will focus on a dedicated research workshop.
The workshop invites contributions that explore the transformative potential of AI in Agile practices. This full-day workshop, designed for 15-40 participants, begins with a keynote presentation by a distinguished AI expert, setting the tone for a deep dive into the real-world applications of AI driving innovation in Agile Software Development.
Our workshop is structured into four dynamic sessions designed to bridge the gap between frustration and actionable innovation:
1. Retrospective: Engage in an interactive session with industry leaders and academic researchers to uncover pain points and challenges in AI integration within Agile workflows.
2. Review: Discover real-world applications and experiences through short research paper presentations and industrial talks that showcase practical successes and use cases of AI in Agile software development.
3. Ideation: Be inspired by cutting-edge research showcases or presentations of emerging industrial use cases and collaborate to brainstorm innovative ideas for the future of AI-enhanced Agile practices.
4. Collaborative Research Roadmap Development: Work with peers to co-create a visionary research roadmap that outlines future opportunities for AI and Agile integration.
Within this scope, the workshop will cover themes including (but not limited to):
• AI-driven real-time task execution in Agile
• Multi-agent systems in software development
• Real-time requirements generation and prioritization using AI
• Task automation and AI-assisted backlog management
• AI-driven continuous integration and delivery in Agile
• Ethical considerations in AI-enhanced Agile environments
• Interactive coding, testing, and deployment within meeting sessions
This workshop offers an unparalleled platform to network, share insights, and shape the future of AI in Agile. Whether you're a practitioner, researcher, or technical leader, gain practical tools and contribute to a transformative research roadmap for the field. Don’t miss this opportunity to influence the future of AI in Agile development!

Submission Guidelines
We invite participants to submit the following formats:
* Research papers (up to 8 pages)
* Presentations (maximum 15 minutes, including discussion)
Submissions should align with the workshop's themes, offering novel research, practical case studies, industry experiences, or visionary ideas that provide value to both academic and industry audiences and will be included in the Review and Ideation sessions of the workshop.
Submission Details:
* All submissions will undergo peer review.
* Submissions must adhere to the LNBIP formatting and submission guidelines.
Submissions should be made electronically via EasyChair by the specified deadline here: https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=xp2025
* There is no limit on the number of submissions per author, but quality should take precedence over quantity.
* Accepted submissions will require at least one author to attend the workshop in person. There will not be an option to participate virtually.
Post-Workshop Outcomes and Publications:
Accepted papers and a summary of the workshop’s outcomes, including the research roadmap, will be included in the XP2025 post-conference proceedings (tentatively published in August 2025). While presentations will not be part of the proceedings, their key insights will be reflected in the workshop summary.
Additionally, a detailed article summarizing the workshop discussions and key moments, along with workshop photos, will be created and shared on the workshop website and selected social platforms (e.g., LinkedIn). This initiative aims to extend the impact of the workshop by making its insights accessible to a broader audience.

==== The Third International Workshop on Global and Hybrid Work in Software Engineering (GoHyb)
Call for Papers
The Covid-19 pandemic forced software engineers to work fully remotely, making it necessary for everyone to quickly learn how to efficiently collaborate and use tools for remote work. Now, after the pandemic, many software engineering organizations are adopting hybrid ways of working, creating new opportunities for individuals and companies. However, hybrid work also brings challenges: teams and companies need to agree on the new ways of working. Is there something we can learn from global software engineering that can be used in hybrid work? How are hybrid agile teams going to work in the future? What is going to be the new normal for software engineering in the world of hybrid work?
Submission Guidelines & Themes
There are two submission categories: i) 8-page full papers; and ii) short industrial presentations.
Full papers: We encourage submissions of contributions describing different stages of research, from position papers and work-in-progress to complete research reports, as well as industry experience reports. We welcome both research and industry papers.
Short industry presentations: We welcome industry experiences, challenges, solutions and ideas for topics that would benefit from rigorous research. Presentation suggestions can be submitted in the format of a 2-page paper or max 5 slides describing the main idea, the presenters and their experience in the topic.
GoHyb seeks submissions describing novel research, experience reports, as well as emerging ideas. We are interested in studies describing original and unpublished results in the field of global and hybrid work in software engineering. The focus of the workshop is on new promising ideas and therefore work-in-progress reports are welcome to ignite discussion in the workshop. The industrial presentations aim to bring the industry viewpoint by discussing current challenges, solutions and new ideas on the topic.
Submission Details:
* All research submissions will undergo peer review.
* Submissions must adhere to the LNBIP formatting and submission guidelines.
* Submissions should be made electronically via EasyChair by the specified deadline (see workshop webpage for submision link)
* Accepted submissions will require at least one author to attend the workshop in person. There will not be an option to participate virtually.
Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
* Issues and challenges in global and hybrid work, such as inequality between hybrid and non-hybrid employees, fewer socialization possibilities, workplace culture, well-being, and their impact on software engineering activities
* Methods, tools and practices for hybrid work. For example, coordination, synchronization, and collaboration practices in hybrid teams
* Adaptations of methods and tools for hybrid work
